Coast to Coast Cycle Ride 2018

The Coast to Coast cyclists set off on their ride tomorrow!
They are challenging themselves to ride 170 miles and raise £10,000 for school funds.

Over recent months they have put so much work into fundraising, bag packing at supermarkets, asking businesses for support and encouraging friends and family to sponsor them.

They are so close to reaching their goal, only £367.75 short once gift aid has been added! It would be fantastic if one last push today could help them hit £10,000.
Just imagine how that money could be used in school to benefit everyone.

Tax payers please don’t forget to add gift aid to help boost your donation using Virgin Money (link below) or you can donate via ParentPay.

All donations welcome, every penny counts.

Good luck to all the cyclists!

Coast 2 Coast 3

On the 15th of July 2018, 35 NHGS students will embark on the 170 miles from Morcambe to Bridlington following the official Sustrans Coast-to-Coast cycle route. The NHGS students have previously taken part in two other cycle adventures and managed to raise over £20,000 for their school facilities.

The route is called the Way of the Roses as it goes through Lancashire and Yorkshire. It takes in some really big climbs as it meanders its way through The Yorkshire Dales. The biggest climbs are out of Settle and into Pateley Bridge. To make the trip more difficult, the students will demonstrate independence and grit by being self-reliant; they will be cooking their own food and carrying their own gear.

The students are again raising money for their school to help with facilities and buy educational resources. If you can make a donation to help keep the wheels turning, the students and staff at NHGS would be very grateful.

Extended date for Hamper Raffle Draw

We have been given permission by our lottery licensing authority to extend the draw date for our Hamper Raffle.

This will give forms extra time to complete their creations and also allow more time for sold ticket stubs and money to be returned to school.

Completed stubs and accompanying money should now be returned to form tutors by Friday 15th December 2017 and the draw will take place in school on Monday 18th December 2017. Please retain your actual tickets (and let your friends and family know to do the same) until the end of term to give us time to contact you if you have been a lucky winner.

Watch this space for upcoming photos of the final creations- we are expecting some truly fabulous hampers again this year!
