On the 15th of July 2018, 42 NHGS students will embark on the 170 miles from Morcambe to Bridlington following the official Sustrans Coast-to-Coast cycle route. The NHGS students have previously taken part in two other cycle adventures and managed to raise over £20,000 for their school facilities.
The route is called the Way of the Roses as it goes through Lancashire and Yorkshire. It takes in some really big climbs as it meanders its way through The Yorkshire Dales. The biggest climbs are out of Settle and into Pateley Bridge. To make the trip more difficult, the students will demonstrate independence and grit by being self-reliant; they will be cooking their own food and carrying their own gear.
The students are again raising money for their school to help with facilities and buy educational resources. If you can make a donation to help keep the wheels turning, the students and staff at NHGS would be very grateful.
