NHGS Celebration Event, Friday July 14th 2017

Join us to celebrate the opening of the new Sports Hall. This is a fantastic resource for our children and for the wider community, and the Parents Association have worked hard all year to raise funds for some of the equipment which will furnish it.

Cash4Coins… We’re still collecting

Thank you to all those who have already donated unwanted foreign currency, we’ve managed to collect our first 5kg!

The collection bucket is still in school reception, waiting for anything you may have left over from holidays or lurking in drawers or down the back of the sofa, so please keep sending in your donations.

Thank you again for your support.

Thank you to all our helpers this year.

As this academic year enters its final half term, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support, especially all those parents and other family members who have helped us serve refreshments, sell raffle tickets and run stalls at the Christmas Fayre. With your help we have been able to raise over £9000, which has been spent on a number of projects in school.

For more details, see ‘Projects’.

We would urge parents and friends of NHGS to please sign the petition. You can do this by following the link below:

Cash4coins collection

Here at The North Halifax Grammar School we are busy fundraising by collecting old British or foreign coins and notes, even obsolete currency. Initially you’ll see lots of posters around the school as well as the collection bucket. Once all the currency has been collected we will send it to www.cash4coins.co.uk who exchanges it into cash we can use. The bucket will be here all year so keep it coming please.

Outdoor Canopy – £7,500
Laser Cutter – £1,500
3D Printer – £1,500
Creativity Prize – £400
Masterchef Prizes – £148.59

We also elected the officers who will oversee the continuation of this support for school for the next year:

Chair- Hermione Berry
Vice Chair – Sangeeta Duffy
Secretary – Joanne Robinson
Treasurer – George Bingham

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all, family and friends of students at NHGS, for your fabulous support for our fundraising events. Without you such donations would simply not be possible, and we know how much the school truly values and appreciates every penny we are able to raise.
